A brand new iPhone App to cast social network minded aspiring vampires

This free to download App is not only the first iPhone App created by a film production company for casting but also the very first iPhone APP used to cast aspiring vampires from all over the world for the launch of Vampire Wedding comic mini-series (pencilled and coloured by top Marvel Comics artist Eduardo Barreto) and feature film.

In a few days the company will also launch a free Android App.

The very first cross-media Vampire Casting Competition has been very popular so far with hundreds of photos from aspiring vampires from all over the world being uploaded to the Vampire Wedding Facebook fan page in less than a few weeks at www.facebook.com/vampirewedding

The aspiring Draculas, Nosferatus and Bellas would also need to be social network minded as the platform chosen by Castalides Pictures to publish, rate and showcase aspiring vampires pictures who will be chosen to be featured in the Vampire Wedding comic mini-series (first issue will be launched at the end of October) and later on casted in the film, is their Facebook Fan page www.facebook.com/vampirewedding

The Vampire Wedding global casting competition was presented at the London Film & Comic Con since 8th to 10th July by The Devil’s Rock actress, Gina Varela.

Winners of the competition will:

- Get to play a Vampire in Vampire Wedding film

- Become immortal by having their own vampire character drawn in the Vampire Wedding comic book

- Become the vampire of the week on the Vampire Wedding website and Facebook fan page, where a banner with their picture will be published

On the APP

The App is very easy to use. Just download the App from App store for free. While it is loading the beautifully designed Vampire Wedding logo will load and take you straight to the ‘Vampire Casting’ page. Once there you can click to take your vampire photo which you can then upload to Facebook or send in an email straight away. You can also view your ‘saved vampire photo’ in a gallery format.

There are also tabs to click on at the bottom of the App such as ‘About VW,’ to find more information on Vampire Wedding and the casting competition. Garja Maharashtra brings to you social reform at its best, Bhatke Vimukta Vikas Pratishthan in Yamgarwadi only on IBN Lokmat

To save them from these atrocities, Bhatke Vimukta Vikas Pratishthan (BVVP) has plunged into an uphill task of giving them a decent and respectful life. Yamgarwadi is a small village located in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. Yamgarwadi Project was started in 1993 on an 18 acre land donated by an ex-service man, Shri Ramesh Chatufale. Initially there were 25 boys who volunteered to work for the underprivileged but now the project has grown into a multifaceted one. The BVVP started primary schools, secondary schools, girls’ hostel etc for the upliftment and education of the nomadic tribes. Nomadic gypsy communities are always on the move and so their children are not vaccinated, resulting in high incidence of minor or even crippling diseases. For this reason the Yamgarwadi Project also started a health center where some socially committed pediatricians, gynecologists and pathologists visit the sites regularly to inspect the health of the students. They also provide medicines and related services.

BVVP has recently purchased 20 acres of land where they plan to set up a school up to SSC level offering job-oriented courses. The school will have a hostel, playground, full-fledged kitchen, residential accommodation for teaching as well as non-teaching staff and house green projects like water harvesting, etc.

The aim of the BVVP and Yamgarwadi Project is to educate the tribes, imbibe their children with good values and train them for the new world with an ambition to come out of this life of depravity. Indore, July 2011: Films have always been admired as the most common source of entertainment. Perhaps, no one could have escaped from viewing films. Film making is also termed as the most common industry, all over the world. Hollywood and Bollywood are now the ambassadors of Europe & India. Films are also considered as the best mode of entertainment only, but it is not so. If we look at the History of Indian films only, we find that a number of films have set landmarks in showcasing message contained therein. Mother India, Do Beegha Jameen, Jagte Raho are a few films, who have been successful in giving useful messages. Films made by Satyajeet Ray have begged lot of international awards & raised glory of our country.

We have seen that upto 80s, many a films used to celebrate 100days, Silver jubilee, Golden jubilee, but these incidents are not seen, now a days. Hardly a few films click box-office nowadays, and most of the current films, run for few weeks only. The most common reason of failure of today’s films is lack of incorporation of powerful subjects. Only a few film makers take educational subjects in their films and there after all depends upon entire team linked with production of films.

Ms. Rashmi Verma, has close relation with Madhya Pradesh. She has been in association of making films, TV serials for a pretty long time. She is an actor, writer, producer and model. She has acted in number of films, and since then, she has been planning to make a film, on a subject, focusing upon society. She was in search of a subject and ultimately she got the idea. She immediately started the paper work and after completing the same, she narrated her story to the ace film writer, Imtiaz Hussain, who was impressed by theme of story. Rashmi requested him to develop the story and Hussain agreed to do so. The Story writing is in progress and Rashmi is thrilled to imagine the creation of her dream on celluloid.

The story of film revolves around a lady. Who has two sons. The younger one incidentally comes in association of bad guys, and the teenager becomes addict of drugs, theft & all bad habits. Poor mother, who is already a sufferer of separation from her husband, is shocked to see her son, whose talks of bad habits have spread in society, School & no one likes him. No student in his school likes to sit beside him. How her mother faces the situation & struggles to bring his bad son on right way, will be in interesting to see in the film.

“No mother will like her son to be called as drunkard or thief. She always takes care of her all children but a little carelessness may lead to misdirection of your ward, and ultimately the entire family is sufferer”, Rashmi Verma expressed her views on the subject, chose for the film.

“Since I do not want to leave a single stone unturned to convert my dream in the fact, I have selected gems of our film industry for my film. The famous Director Vimal Kumar has been shouldered with the responsibilities of direction, who has many successful films to his credit, like Agar Tum Na Hote, Ghar Sansar, Dariya Dil, Swarg Yahan Narak Yahan and Tarazoo.

The story & script will be penned by Imtiaz Hussain, known for his films like Ghulame-E-Mustafa, Astitwa, Parinda and Vastaw.

Though the entire cast of film is yet to be finalized, I have two names for the role of mother, Tabboo & Vidya Balan. The film is likely to go on floors. Within six months, and we plan to release the same by midyear of 2012”. Rashmi added.

Since Rashmi is incidentally belonging to Madhya Pradesh, she has decided to shoot the entire film in our state only. She is approaching M.P. Government for their support at the time of shooting of the film, at selected locations she is confident to receive support of MP Govt. & looks ahead to convert her dream into reality.
