Halloween Producer Scares-Up Org to Benefit Youth

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 31, 2011 -- Halloween is known for terrifying chills, screams and howls. Horror movies often depict teenagers running for their lives from nightmarish ghouls and a bloodbath of gore while the audience cheers! This season, however, Halloween franchise producer Malek Akkad hopes to bring cheers in a new way — and he needs your help. Akkad is launching the sCare Foundation (Suspense Community Allocating Relief and Empowerment) to alleviate the hardships of poverty and homelessness facing today’s youth throughout Northern America.

“Throughout the world, horror fans are the most respectable and supportive out of any genre” Producer Akkad continues. “I want to do something to give back to this community that has given so much to the genre. [...] We will be incredibly grateful if our fans help sCare tap into it.”

sCare is a non-profit organization with the aim to alleviate the hardships of poverty and homelessness facing today’s youth throughout Northern America. It’s a mission that Akkad holds near to his heart. The idea is inspired by his father and sister, both of whom died tragically 6 yeas ago. As he recounts the memory, his voice bolsters with sincerity. He pledges that this is only the beginning of how he hopes to praise their memories.

Akkad, a very prolific Director/Producer/Executive Producer with credits such as Halloween and The Psychic Murders, has a career that spans over three decades and has worked hard to help his talented friends (both in front and behind the camera) tell stories that his audience loves. “I’m proud to call these talented people my friends. And I’m just as proud of how quickly they’ve each volunteered their support for sCare. They’re ready. We’re getting ready.”

Halloween this year is going to be epic!
