Singing Film Critic Completes First Summer Season Of Posting Reviews Of Blockbuster Movies

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 12, 2011 -- BALTIMORE -- Leland, the Singing Film Critic, a hand puppet with googly eyes, a bulbous nose and a stylish tan hat, has completed his first season of reviewing summer blockbuster movies and has established an online home at http://www.SingingFilmCritic.com.

Over the past few months, Leland has sung his reviews of 12 movies: Thor, Priest, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, X-Men: First Class, Super 8, Green Lantern, The Tree of Life, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Captain America, Cowboys and Aliens, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes, rating each on a scale of 1 to 10. Each review runs about a minute and a half, and can be viewed on his new website.

Leland’s unique sense of humor and rhyme may be conveyed by the following snippet of his Priest review: “Oh, Priest / Was bad to say the least / I prayed to the Lord / Let this film have a good story / Instead, I was bored / With vampires so gory...” Addressing Paul Bettany, Priest’s leading man, Leland asks: “Oh Bettany... / Good film roles / Why can't you gettany?”.

Baltimore resident Alex Thaler, who created Leland and writes and sings his reviews, said, “Leland is proud of completing his first summer of movie reviewing. He’s already checking the list of fall releases and deciding what films he'll be reviewing next. At the same time, he is very happy to have a dedicated website, http://www.SingingFilmCritic.com, as a showcase for his reviews.”

In early July, Dean Richards, Chicago film critic and entertainment reporter, talked about Leland on WGN-TV 9 News, and interviewed Mr. Thaler on WGN-AM radio.

RA One Trailer | Ra.one movie Reviews | Sanju Baba | Sanjay Dutt in Ra One |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 28, 2011 --
When it comes to huge movies with expensive special effects, no country in the world can touch America. Whether or not that’s a good thing is a whole other argument but even overseas, their biggest budget productions pale in comparison to ours. That tide might slowly be turning, however, with a film like Ra One, an upcoming Indian superhero film in the mold of Iron Man, directed by Anubhav Sinha and starring Shah Rukh Khan, which is being touted as one of the biggest spectacles to ever come out of the country. Check out the first trailer for the film after the jump.

There's a whole lot of posturing going on, with the film seemingly 'influenced' by The Matrix, Iron Man and even Krrish.
What if something that is meant to be played starts playing with your life... This Diwali, G-One is the only protector." That's what the text of the trailer tells us, seemingly conforming rumours about the story of the film. The film is supposedly about a video game designer who watches a villain he create (Ra.One) exit the game and start terrorising the real world, and so is forced to enter the game himself to stop him. Again, these are just rumours -- but the line about 'something meant to be played' makes them seem pretty real.

The effects look good, but Shah Rukh Khan looks even better. Younger, fresher and more attractive than he has looked for a considerable while now, King Khan seems to be entering superhero mode bigtime with this one.

Sanjay Dutt in Ra One | RA One Trailer | Ra.one movie Reviews | Sanju Baba |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 28, 2011 --
Actor Sanjay Dutt is in news for his upcoming film Agneepath. But the latest buzz about Sanju Baba is that he is appearing in Shahrukh Khan’s forthcoming movie Ra.One. According to sources, along with Priyanka Chopra, the Bollywood star will play cameo role in the much-anticipated action flick.

Sources claim that Shahrukh Khan and director Anubhav Sinha were planning to have more drama with fun and action elements in Ra.One. They were impressed with Sanju’s dedication and the way he buffed up his body for Agneepath. So they decided to get the actor on board.

Sources further say that Shahrukh and Anubhav approached Sanju and requested him to do a cameo in the movie Ra.One. Although he was interested to act in the action flick, he had dates’ issue as he was busy with Karan Johar’s next project Agneepath. But Karan is a close friend of Shahrukh and he graciously gave a few of Dutt’s dates for Ra.One.

However, Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra are not appearing in any romantic or dance scene, but they star in a stylised action sequence of the movie Ra.One. Sources claim that initially, the two of them were to shoot for just a day, but now they have extended it by a couple of days as SRK and Anubhav want Sanju to do some great action scenes.

Harry Potter Reviews

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
new york city, New York, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) July 21, 2011 --
Harry Potter Reviews

Harry Potter – great bittersweet realization that after ten years, the Harry Potter films have come to their conclusion, and the character will never again be on our big screens, capture the action..

Harry Potter Is the highest grossing franchise of all-time concludes the series on a slightly underwhelming, but ultimately high note.

It has become something of a bittersweet realization that after ten years, the Harry Potter films have come to their conclusion, and the character will never again grace the big screen – excluding Lucas-style special editions and the possibility that a rabid fan will go Misery on J.K. Rowling and force her to write an eighth Harry Potter book. Barring that, the franchise ends on a high note, albeit a slightly muted one.

It has been an odd and nearly unparalleled experience watching the cast of Harry Potter grow through the years. And as the actors matured and grew into their roles, the series itself also matured. The feel became darker, and the stories grew more complex. The style changed too, partly due to the deepening plot, but mostly due to the change of directors. For the final outing, David Yates returns behind the lens of Harry Potter for the fourth time, and his style has become very distinctive, as has his view of what Harry Potter is all about.

Yates is not into the spectacle of Harry’s world as the original Potter director, Christopher Columbus was, nor does he emphasize the magical nature as Alfonso Cuaron did in Prisoner of Azkaban. He is closer to Mike Newell (who directed Goblet of Fire) than to the other two, but still, Yates has his own way of seeing things. He is a character director, and as a result the emphasis is on Harry’s journey more than anything else. That makes the journey and the conclusion satisfying, but at the cost of the epic scale of the final battle.

Part 2

Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is not so much a sequel as it is just a continuation of Part 1. Rather than having its own three-act structure, Part 2 essentially begins during the middle of the second act, which began in Part 1. If possible, watch Part 1 immediately before watching Part 2. It will make more sense in terms of the narrative flow.

The movie begins without much introduction. It picks up immediately where Part 1 ended and hits the ground running. Without spoiling too much for people that haven’t read the books, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) continue to hunt the horcruxes that are keeping Voldemort (Ralph Finnes) alive, while around them the war is over, and he-who-must-not-be-named has won.

If you watched the first film, then you know everything you need to know about the plot of the second. All of the exposition and setup was dumped into Part 1, leaving Part 2 to focus on the climactic confrontation and final battle, which occupies more than the last hour of the film. There is very little fat on this film, which is both a good and bad thing. Part 1 was nearly all set up, so many of its faults were overlooked, and rightly so. It had moments that dragged, and there were very few action scenes to break up the monotony of the months the characters spent on the run. Part 2 does not have that problem at all. In fact, the events in the film all take place over the course of a few days
