FirstRun.tv Online Television Network Introduces New Sports Channel with “In The Rough” Golf Drama

The new Sports channel is included with other popular genres on FirstRun.tv including Comedy, Drama, Thrills, Reality, Kids, Performances, Instructional, Talk, and Science Fiction.

“In The Rough”, an episodic golf-related drama, will kick-off the new Sport channel. The series follows the story of Will Ryan, a golf enthusiast who has always done the right thing and plays by the rules, but could never achieve his goal of playing professional golf. After a jarring event in his life, Will seizes a second chance to follow his dream, but soon encounters challenges he never expected. He finds playing tournament golf with the “big boys” can be a ruthless world where competitive rivals, corrupt sponsors and personal demons are all waiting to test his skills and perseverance on and off the green. Ultimately, the real challenge comes from within Will, himself, as he must transcend the pressures and the drama of his life to find glory in the game.

“In The Rough” was created and produced by J. Michael Dawson and Chantal Leblanc-Everett of Lifeforce Entertainment in Toronto, and funded in part by the Canadian Independent Production Fund. The series cast is from the United States and Canada, and includes Jake Michaels, Len Greenaway, Gary Biggar, Adele Gigantes, Frazer McIntyre, Stephanie Harris, Ryan Egan, Terry Novak, Danny Bruzzi, Pam Gordon, and Martha Girvin.

FirstRun.tv (www.FirstRun.tv) was launched in 2011 by Gary Kleinman who was with the Walt Disney Studios for 23 years. It also reveals a variety of obstacles faced in order to bring alive the UK’s biggest and most audacious constructions projects which range from turningsemi-derelict wasteland into prime Olympic real estate, removing more than 220 buildings and saving 90% of the materials for later re-use on the site, the clearance of 2 million square meters of land, cuttingdown more than 50 electricity pylons and burying all the powerlines deep underground in two colossal, 6 kilometer-long tunnels.

In the past, the Olympics have left a glut of stadia too big for use after the Olympic crowds have dissipated. Some of the landmark projects include:
• Over 4,000 new semi-mature trees are taking root in the Olympic Park and Olympic Village, which will be the largest one-off planting of its kind in the capital.
• Covering an area of two and a half square kilometres Olympic Park would be the largest British park to be developed in more than a century.

• New habitats for species including: otter; kingfisher; grey heron; bee; and many more.
• Two million tons of earth to bedecontaminated.
• Five soil-washing machines have successfully completed cleaning most of the one million cubic metres of soil contaminated with oil, petrol, tar, cyanide, arsenic and lead.
• Over 5km of riverbanks replaced or refurbished and 30,000 tonnes of silt, gravel and other materials dredged from the rivers.
• Includes two 50m swimming pools and a 25m diving tank

• Curved steel structure made up of more than 2,500 sections of steelwork. Shape is designed to reflect the geometry of the cycling track, rising in height by 12m from shallowest point to the highest
